On my second visit, I found Giethoorn, where several small farmers were selling fruits and vegetables. Here's my experience from my first visit: Strangely, even though I arrived at Giethoorn and followed the signs for daylilies, I didn't see any. Although I expected the daylily season to be over, I thought I should at least see the remnants of daylily fields! But no, instead I saw a large field of loofahs, with a sign saying: "Loofahs NT$20 each, three for NT$50." Well, I could only take pictures of the loofah field. At the southern end of Sun Moon Lake, there was such a large, relatively flat area. Afterwards, I drove around carefully looking for my second goal: boating. The river was quite obvious, but alas, I couldn't even find a river for boating. However, I did see the San Sheng Temple and Grandma's Laundry Site. Next time, I'll come earlier and not rush the itinerary, and definitely go boating. Furthermore, in front of the San Sheng Temple, there was a large wooden structure. My wife said, "Is this Grandma's old laundry tool?" How do you wash clothes like that? After Googled it at home, the structure in front of the San Sheng Temple doesn't seem to be a laundry site. How could I be so careless? I didn't do enough research before the trip. I deeply regret this and am working on improving.

My second time canoeing, it felt so good to ride the wind. The shallow water made me feel safer.

A new way to experience Sun Moon Lake: a ten-minute drive from Sun Moon Lake. There are only three places in the world with peat moss pots, and Taiwan is one of them. The pots experience costs NT$100, canoeing costs NT$300, and parking for small cars costs NT$30. However, reservations are required in advance. It is more fun than Sun Moon Lake and can be used to bring children for an educational and entertaining experience.
